Surgical vs non surgical face lift: how do they compare?
Non surgical face lifts provide more natural results to rejuvenate the face without the complications. Though the results are more subtle, achieving a refreshed younger look is very possible without surgery.
Most people consider a more discrete non surgical approach an advantage because they do not want it obvious they have had work done.
What are the pros and cons of a surgical vs non surgical face lift?
A non surgical face lift avoids the risks of surgery.
Though the skill level for surgical face lifts is very high there is always inherent risks with surgery.
A non surgical face lift avoids complications of surgery: there is no risk of scars and though bruising does occur, it is insignificant compared to full face surgery.
Recovery from non surgical face lift is quick.
Recovering from a surgical face lift will generally take 4- 6 weeks with careful nurturing of wounds, bruising and swelling. However if the post surgery period is complicated it can involve months rather than weeks.
Non surgical face lifts however can be performed in lunch hours or after work. Though it is advised to take one to three days off after the procedure, some people return to work the next day with concealer to camouflage any bruising.
Non surgical face lifts give a very natural result.
A Surgical face lift can last 7-10 years, however the results are variable and more often will dramatically change your intrinsic “look”. Some people dislike the tight and permanent surprised appearance that can occur after the procedure.
Non surgical face lift:
Non surgical face lift involves a combination of muscle relaxing treatments and dermal fillers.

Frustratingly, with TGA regulations in Australia, it is illegal for us to name any cosmetic treatments used for non surgical face lifts on our website. They are class S4 medication to be administered only by a Doctor or Nurse with training, they have approval for cosmetic use and a well established safety profile.

Hi Anni,
the best thing is to come in for a complimentary full face clinical evaluation. We will assess not only the texture, quality and look of the skin but also any areas of wrinkling, volume loss and be able to give you all of your options. There is not obligation with this and our ladies always get an enormous amount out of the consultation, because then they know what options are available.
I will outline generally the procedures that are most effective for rejuvenation of sundamaged skin, but which option is best depends on what is happening with your skin, ie it is individual not a blanket one treatment fits all.
1. Skin Product is used to refine pore size , texture and quality of skin. We use and recommend affordable science based skin care. (Our product range costs around $40=$50 )
2. IPL is used to even skin tone, it can also help with skin texture and improve fine lines and wrinkles
3. Microdermabrasion is used to get a more even surface texture and improve the quality of the skin
4. Botox is used for wrinkles and lines in the top half of the face (to get rid of crows feet, frown lines, forehead lines)
5. Fillers are used for lines and folds in the lower half of the face. (nasolabial folds, marionette lines, jowling etc)
This is just an overview, as it is alot more complex, however the best thing at the outset is to come in for a free clinical evaluation. Call us on 33505447 to book.
