Aint it amazing how the mineral makeup has somehow managed to style the hair of the models you use.
If it was that good it would sell itself without you having to do a complete makeover of the models.
I call it false advertising

Hi Riki, Thankyou for leaving a comment. The photos are ones supplied by the Youngblood company, and the idea of them is to look at the complexion of the models, not the hairstyles. But point taken, we in fact all look a lot better with makeup on (well I know I do) and it does not really show the true qualities of the makeup, merely some made up women.
From my perspective the value of Youngblood, as it is the only “true” mineral makeup I have tried, is that though it gives a beautiful finish, it does not look or feel like you have makeup on. We actually go for a very natural look in our makeup, not the glamourised look in the pictures, so it does not truly reflect our philosophy, or our approach to makeup. Thankyou for your comment I will organize to get some more natural looking finished photos up that do reflect our use of the Youngblood.regards Jo

Dr Turner,
I must say like Riki I was somewhat disappointed in this part of the site. It wasn’t the models hair that did it - we all know when “make overs” are done the hair is part of that….no it is the following quotes - copied directly from the comments left BY you!
“I have tried a few other Mineral makeups but Youngblood is my favourite by far”
15th June 08
“true value of Youngblood, as it is the only mineral makeup I have tried, is that though it gives a beautiful finish” 28th Oct 08
In June you state you have tried other mineral makeup but in Oct you haven’t tried any? - a typo?

Hi Gillian, Thankyou for your comment, it seems this page is really getting me in trouble, so much so that I am going to delete the images entirely. The Youngblood is a loss leader for us and really the benefit has been the free makeovers we give our clients after they have had cosmetic treatments which they really appreciate, but it is certainly not worth us continuing with the images if people do not like them. I am outcomes driven although obviously I want to make a profit for all of the work I do put into my clinic but the beauty of the makeup for us has really been the pampering of our clients, having access to a high quality makeup that can be applied directly after clinical procedures. There are a number of high end products, of which Youngblood is the only one I have tried. I will not switch away from the Youngblood at present, because I have made the investment into the product but fundamentally it is great for our business because our ladies love it.
With the conflicting comments I had tried what I thought where mineral makeups and later found out that they were not true mineral makeups, ie they were bulked with talc etc. I am not a makeup expert, in fact I can barely colour match, I rely on my staff to do this for me. My niche is with the cosmetic skin treatments not makeup and you are right the blurb and images are provided by Youngblood, which I do love, however I have relied on information given to me (including my belief that all mineral makeups are mineral makeups, that it is good for your skin (better than normal makeup), and which is why I made the later comment.
Thankyou for pointing this out for me, I will delete the former comment and edited the second to say “true” mineral makeup, I am deleting the images.
What have your experiences with Mineral makeups been, I would be interested in feedback?
Regards Jo
