Microdermabrasion was developed in Italy in 1985 and has become a popular skin resurfacing technique because of low risk and rapid recovery compared with other resurfacing techniques.
The original microdermabrasion machines used crystals with a sand blasting technique, however the newer diamond tip microdermabrasion is a more comfortable procedure.
Microdermabrasion has two main therapeutic uses:
Microdermabrasion is best delivered in a course of treatments
Although you notice the difference after one microdermabrasion treatment the true therapeutic benefit for acne clearance and anti-aging skin care is achieved with a course of treatments.

In addition to microdermabrasion treatment, you can buy with diamonds in it, they make your skin radiant, and also help in removing dead skin cells inbetween dermabrasion treatments.

Hi Danni, it seems you are a little off the mark, the diamond microdermabrasion refers to the treatment wand used to perform the microdermabrasion. Diamond microdermabrasion is called this because the tip is not crystal. We prefer diamond tip microdermabrasion because there is less risk of the a crystal blocking pores. That is crystal microdermabrasion which is like a sand blasting technique can worsen acne, where as the diamond tip microdermabrasion exfoliates dead skin cells without risking pore obstruction.
