Is there such a thing as the ’best lip filler’? The answer is yes and no. There is a range of fillers available on the market they all have a place.
The question to ask: ‘what is the best lip filler for my lips?’ The answer to this can vary depending on what you were born with and what you want to achieve with your lips.
The 4 Groups Of Lip Filler Requests.
1. Women whose lips are starting to look less young.
Women whose lips have started to thin, developed a down turning at the corners or lines above the lips.
This group of women wants rejuvenation to make their lips look younger.
2. Women who want a powerful pout.
Women who do not necessarily have small or uneven lips to start with.
They want fuller sensual lips and a pout to match Angelina.
3. Women who have smaller or uneven lips.
Women who are unhappy with the overall size or symmetry of their lips.
They want an increase in natural fullness or a balancing of the lips.
4. Men who want to change their lip shape or size.
Though a much smaller group, some men simply are not happy with the volume or shape of their lips.

Frustratingly, with TGA regulations in Australia, it is illegal for us to name any lip filler injections on our website. They are class S4 medications to be administered by a Doctor or Nurse with training. They have TGA approval for cosmetic use and established safety profile.

Hi Fifi, the cost for lip enhancement fillers varies depending on what you what to achieve and what your original lips are like. The very average cost for lip enhancement is $660 however it can be less and very rarely more than this.
We do free assessments, so the best thing is to come in, we will go through the whole process with you and be able to give an accurate quote. There is no obligation with this so us on 33505447 to book a free consultation as a starting point. regards Jo

Hi… Just wondering, how long does the treatment last? Do you have to continue with extra treatments?
Thanks
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 29 Apr 2009 at 4:36 pm #
Hi Rachelle,
In all honesty we cannot say how long a filler will last as it is very individual. How long lip enhancement fillers lasts depends on a few factors primarily individual factors and how you body breaks down the product.
1. As a general rule people with very active metabolisms tend to break the product down quicker.
2. The fillers we generally use are made of hyaluronic acid which naturally occurs in our bodies and we have enzymes that break this down. The amount of enzyme varies between people, if you have very high levels you will break the lip fillers down quickly than someone who had a smaller amount.
3. Lastly how long a lip enhancement filler lasts depends on the fillers that are used and which filler is best depends on what you want to achieve with you lips. Products which give a soft natural enhancement tend to last around 4-6 months, where are fillers which give much bigger pouting lip enhancement can last 9- 12 months. Many people then seek to get a top up at the 6 months mark depending on the initial product.
We do free assessment consultations for lip enhancement, and there is no obligation with this, so the best thing is to book in for a free assessment consultation at the outset. Once we know what you want to achieve with your lips we can go through the options, costs and be a little more accurate with how long it will last.
Call us on 33505447 if you wish to book a free assessment consultation.

hi i was just wondering if you can get just your top lip enhanced i think that my bottom lip is fine its just the top lip that is bothering me.
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 29 Jun 2009 at 8:30 am #
Hi Emily, Yes sometimes people only get filler put into the top lip. The idea of a lip enhancement is exactly that to enhance your lip balance, fullness and structure. So if only the top lip requires filling then that is where the filler is placed to achieve more balance. Our injectors assess that when you come in for treatment. The initial consultation is free and without obligation so call us on 33505447 to book a free assessment at the outset.

& have missed out on some jobs cause
of them .
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 10 Sep 2009 at 6:07 am #
Hi Jake, it is very common for men to get lip enhancement now. However you do need to get someone who is experienced in treating mens lips as the desired effect is different for men and women. However you do need to be 18 to get cosmetic treatments, this is a legal requirement for consent. All of our injectors have experience in treating men and two of them Dr Victoria Timchik and Marian Ferguson have vast experience specifically with lip enhancements in men. The best thing is to call us on 33504625 and come in for a free assessment consultation at the outset. Jo

Hi, I am thinking about getting my top lip done next year (when I am 18) because my bottom lip is significantly bigger than my top. I don’t know how to explain what my lips look like so I attatched a photo of someone whos lips are similar to mine. cms.mumbaimirror.com/portalfiles/19/77/200909/Image/my_big_bottom_lip_pierced.jpg
I want the sides of my top lip done because my mouth looks out of porportion to the rest of my face. Is it possible to get just the sides done?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 28 Oct 2009 at 7:06 am #
Hi Stevie, Lip fillers are very versatile so yes it is certainly possible to just treat areas of the lips to create a more balanced look for the lip shape. In fact all lip enhancements we do is about making sure the balance is correct between upper and lower lips, each side of the mouth and also consider the lip size compared to other features on the face. You do have to wait until you are 18 but if you wanted to come in for a free assessment now, we can explain the whole process, give you an idea of what you can expect to achieve with your lips and you will have time to think and plan for the treatment. Call us on 33505447 if you wish to book for a free consultation at this point. regards Dr Jo

What are the side effects of having the lip enhancement done?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 12 Jan 2010 at 2:15 pm #
Hi Ana, the most common side effect of lip enhancement is bruising and swelling afterwards. That is they are reversable however you do need to consider the timing of the lip enhancements and would not get them done within 2 weeks of a special event as they do need around 5-7 days to settle. regards Jo
