I know it must feel really frustrating Jodie, but with non essential Cosmetic treatments you are required to legally adult to consent. If it was an essential treatment ie you had been born with a cosmetic anomaly then the treatment is considered plastic repair and your parents can consent but not with purely cosmetic enhancement. I’m 16 and I have been wanting lip injections for awhile. I have been saving up money for awhile now. And I have my moms permission and she also has nothing to do with me wanting this, at all. I don’t really understand why I have to be 18 to make my own decision when I can just do that now?

Hi Renee, the cost for lip augmentation is variable depending on what you want to achieve and ranges between $360 per treatment to $660. In saying this the very average cost is $550. Hi Jaquie the cost for lip enhancement varies between around $350 and $660. We would generally advise against just getting filler injections into the top lip, however there is no rule about this. We would need to assess your lips and find out what you want to achieve, as long as we are positive the outcome will be balanced it is possible.

Lip enhancement is not painful because we use very good anaelgesia. The best thing if you are interested in finding out about lip fillers and injections and what is possible is to book in for a free clinical evaluation with one of our Doctors. Dr Victoria Timchik works with us and she is very good with lip enhancement.

I am really interested in getting the injections in my top lip only as my bottom lip is naturally quite full. What would the estimated price be? And is it extremely painful?

Hi Simone,
Lip augmentation is a term I usually apply to surgical enhancement of the lips, however this is just for your information because many people interchange the terms lip augmentation with lip enhancement.

Back to a solution, we need to find out what product you had the first time, so I will email you for details but I can probably hazard a guess, some products give swelling immediately after injection and so, like you, many women get home after their lip augmentation or enhancement thinking they have the volume they desire only to have it disappear. There are a couple of issues we need to look at to combat this.
1. The product chosen: there are specialised products that are suitable for really full lips, not permanent but longer lasting. The general lip enhancement products will give a rejuvenation or balancing, say correct a thin upper lip but not necessarily give real fullness and this is really what the majority of women and men want with lip enhancement.
2. The other issues could be about the volume required: if you truly want a big pout, you may be a two syringe lip girl. If your natural lips have some width and you want to get them really full one syringe may not quite cut it.

Hi I am wanting lip augmentation. I am not worried about big lips, in fact that is the look I want. I have had augmentation once before, and the results where ok, however I really liked the look when they were still swollen, once that went down after a couple of weeks, I was quite disappointed. I do not like the sound of the permanent fillers, but really I do want something that lasts more than a couple of weeks. What could have caused this problem and how can I get really full lips that will last. (I am realistic, I am happy if they last 6- 12 months but two weeks was really a let down.) Simone

Hi Tili, The cost for lip enhancement depends on what you want to achieve and hence what product we use. Generally it is $350- $660. On saying this the very average cost for lip enhancement is $550 ( that is what the vast majority of women need) You can be of any age, usually we would consider 18 ok for you to make your own decision on lip enhancement, but not younger than this. The products are quite safe and naturally occur in the skin.
