How much does it cost for laser hair removal?
Australians spend a lot of money on hair removal each year.
Though the cost of a permanent solution may seem daunting to start with when we add up the amount we already spend in dollars and hours: laser hair removal suddenly becomes an attractive cost effective solution.
Laser hair removal cost
Laser hair removal for a bikini line cost start at $110 per treatment. It takes 6-8 sessions for permanent removal (spaced 6-8 weeks apart). The total cost for permanent hair removal of basic bikini line will be around $880 over 12-14 month period. This is very affordable. As each session sees a reduction any hair growth is more manageable in between.

Hi im in the Army and have to shave every day ,i get rashes from shaving with a dirty face would it be possible remove my facial hair and how much.
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 01 Jul 2008 at 10:53 pm #
Hi Greg, Yes it should be possible to remove facial hair, however we would need to see the area you want removed and the type of hair to give exact price. Also with guys you need to think that if we permanently remove facial hair then you will not be able to grow a beard or have facial hair in the future. I know this sounds attractive, but you really need to think it through. The best thing is to come in for a free assessment, we will take a look and go through all of the details with you. Call us on 33505447 to book and we can see what we can do to remove the unwanted hair. Where in Brisbane are you, we open late on Wednesday night and every second Saturday if this helps you to come for a free consult for us to take a look.

Hi I want to get permanent brazilian hair removal and wanted to know the cost of this. I guess I should come in for a free assessment as that is what you seem to tell people to do, I guess I am a little embarrassed. Do lots of women get brazilian laser hair removal . I have never even had a brazilian wax only a bikini line, but I am so sick of ingrown hairs. Is it safe to remove hair permanently?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 01 Jul 2008 at 11:25 pm #
Hi Karyn, yes it is best to come in for the free assessment. It sounds like you are a little unsure because of the area you want treated. We have a very experienced hair removal specialist Serina, she is very lovely AND has had alot of experience with permanent brazilian hair removal AND will make you feel very comfortable during the whole process. The best thing is to come in and meet us, there is no obligation in that and make sure you feel comfortable with us, then you can make the decision. Yes it is perfectly safe to permanently remove hair, even with a Brazilian. Call us on 33505447 for a free appointment with Serina and she will take you through the whole process.

How much to get your back done?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 16 Sep 2008 at 8:02 am #
Hi Grant,
Laser hair removal cost for the back is dependent on the technology used and the area that you need removed. The cost is worked out per click, and with large areas it is more. Some guys may have smaller backs, less areas affected etc and obviously the cost of hair removal will not be as much for a larger guy with a full back of hair. This is why we offer free assessment, so you can come in, we take a look at the area you want hair removal on and we can give an accurate cost. There is no obligation with this. We also go through full explanation of the treatment etc at that time. Call us on 33505447 for a free consultation.

Hello, over the last couple of years i have begun to get hair on certain parts of my body and i find this rather imbarrasing especially when i am naked in front of my partner.
I have hairs around my nipples and although there are not many or they are not very dark, when i pull them out and they grow back i get little red dots around the nipples and this bothers me greatly!!
I also have a few little hairs on my lower chin area, again they are light and few but i still have to pluck them often and i sometimes get ingrown hairs there which are painful and ugly.
It doesnt stop there…i have a rather hairy area below my belly button and above my pubic area, i beleive its hairyer than most women and im so over it!
If i shave its really prickly YUK, if i wax i get ingrown hairs WAY WORSE and left behind are nasty scars and im embarresed to be in a bikini especially if i have ingrown hairs…PLEASE help as im desperate and at only 31yrs i still have some living to do. If you could give me some much needed info, that would be SOOOO appreciated, Thankfully yours F

Hi, i am 26, since last couple of years the hair on my body have like exploded. I used to lite hair on my chest, few on the back and my legs. but since last 2 years they have grown way too many. i use hair removal cream or just trim them sometimes. I am really embarrassed with my situation and nearly more than half my body is covered by hair. As the per the large area coverage would it be very expensive to get them lasered.
An answer will be highly appreciated.
Thanks very much.
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 01 Oct 2008 at 6:16 am #
Hi John, the cost of laser hair removal does depend on the area to be treated, however with larger areas we do give very good discounts. The best thing is to come in for a free assessment, we will take a look at the areas you want hair removal on and be able to work out an accurate price with a discount. There is no obligation with the quote so call us on 33505447 to book a free assessment with Serina. Jo

How old should you be for laser hair removal? I will be 19 in february and im looking at getting my stomach and chest done. Would the proceedure be permenant at my age?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 03 Nov 2008 at 6:16 am #
Hi Matthew, You only have to be 18 to get laser hair removal done. The outcome
of the treatment depends on the coarseness and darkness of the hair, your skin type and the power and quality of the machine to be used. To achieve permanent hair reduction the machine used needs to be able to reach an amount of power. The other consideration is safety, which we are very particular about. The best thing is to come in for a free assessment, Serina our laser specialist will go through everything with you. where is Brisbane are you located, we do a late evening on Wednesday and every second Saturday if this helps. Call us on 33505447 to book a free consultation.

Sarah responded on 03 Sep 2009 at 10:03 pm #
Hi,
I am mediterranean with olive skin and wax my upper lip - its very frustrating though because my hair grows in different cycles, so even though I wax regularly, different hair is growing at different times (if that makes sense).
Im very sick of having to wax and its something Im very self conscious about. Im just wanting to find out how high the risk is of burns and pigmentation occuring and what the other potential side effects are and how common?
Would it be $110 per session, with 6-8 sessions?
Is the hair removal permanent?
Thank you!
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 10 Sep 2009 at 6:13 am #
Hi Sarah, yes the treatment is $110 per session for hair removal of the upper lip. The number of treatments is variable and individula. We would need to assess you to say for certain that we could treat you and do a skin typing. Depending on the amount of pigment in your skin determines the risk of pigmentation afterwards. We always do a skin typing first and would never treat you if we thought it was unsafe. We follow safety protocols. the best thing is to come in for a free consultaiton, we would do a skin typing and if we could not treat you we will be honest about it, as our reputation relies on the outcomes of our treatments. Hey,
I’d like to get a permanent Brazilian and underarms. I was wondering if you have any package deals?
Also does the laser treatment work on ingrown hairs or hairs that have not broken through skin yet? How long should you wait after waxing or tweezing to get a laser treatment?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 06 Oct 2009 at 9:52 pm #
Hi Laura, We certainly do work out packages for people on request. If you got the Brazilian treated we could do the underarms complimentary. Laser hair removal is very effective to treat ingrown hairs and we would advise waiting 6 weeks after waxing before get treatment, so the treatment is most effective. Call us on 33504625 if you wish to book a free assessment. regards Jo

Hi
I have done laser hair removal back in sydney on my chin and neck about 2 years a go. the treatment took about a year with 5-6 weeks apart. the only results I could see was, having smooth face with very fine hair for just that 5 weeks till the next treatment. at the moment I am experiencing a lot wors hair growth on my chin and neck, I have done a hormon test no problem showing. Do you think with newer technology in laser treatment I can get rid of them for good or it is just not working for me. thank you
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 01 Feb 2010 at 12:19 pm #
Hi Patricia, it really depends on what the original machine was, ie if it was a high power machine. There is a very very small percentage of people who do not respond to Laser hair removal or IPL hair removal, however this is rare and to say whether you would respond better this time it would be useful to know what equipment was used the first time. If you are interested come in for a free assessment consultation by calling us on 33505447. regards Jo

Can my daughter ,who is just coming up for 15 yo , have her arms IPL’d?
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 05 Mar 2010 at 2:14 pm #
Hi Paul, recent changes to legislation have meant that 18 is the lowest age for consent to cosmetic treatments. Unfortunately this means that your daughter will have to wait a few more years before getting IPL. regards Jo

hi there, i just wanted to clarify, the $110 for the hair removal on the face… is it the whole face? of just the upper lip etc…meaning only individual areas? also i have fine black hair on my face which is very noticeable when i talk to other people. will the treatment be effective on fine dark hair on the face?
thanks.
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 08 Mar 2010 at 2:47 pm #
Hi Hana, the treatment is per area, however if you wanted to get a whole face done, or half face it might cost $275 - $350 depending on the area involved. Fine dark hair can respond to treatment, however fine hair does not respond as well as coaser hair as a general rul. I hope this has been of help. regards Jo
