Face Vein Treatment Options.
1. Most people have small veins (less than 2mm):
For these people treatment with intense pulsed light is the most effective and painless way to get rid of facial spider veins.
2. When the facial spider veins are very large they can be injected or cauterised. This represents the minority of people and most people are more appropriately treated with intense pulsed light.

Hi I have nose veins just like you describe. I do not like the way they look probably because I always thought they only came when you drank alot, and I do not. It is becoming quite embarrassing for me as I think now when people are looking at me they are looking at the veins at the side of my nose. I know this might sound stupid but I am becoming really upset by them. I was wondering how much it would cost to get rid of them, just a ball park figure. Thankyou Laura

Hi Laura, I know the appearance of nose veins embarrasses alot of people especially because they think it is caused from alcohol, so I do not think you are silly. The cost is dependent on the amount of flashes we need to do, in saying this it should cost $110 per treatment for intense pulsed light therapy to get rid of your dreaded nose veins. Call us on 33505447 to book a free assessment, we will go everything to expect and check to ensure this treatment is right for you. Nose veins and capillaries tend to respond very well to this treatment, at the very least we usually get a vast reduction in size if not totally get rid of them. regards Jo

Hi Sharon, intense pulsed light treatment would be very effective to get rid of the capillaries on you cheeks, chin and nose, in fact it works well for all facial capillaries. The treatment cost of treating broken capillaries depends on the area to be treated, but for cheeks, chin and nose a ball park figure would be $220-$275 depending on the extent of involvement. The best thing is to come and see us for a free consultation. Jo

Hi there…. I was wondering if you can use IPL treatments to remove capillaries on the legs and ankles? Thanks..
Dr Joanne Turner responded on 12 Jan 2010 at 2:19 pm #
Hi Matt, no the pulsed light treatment is only suitable for treatment of capillaries on the nose and face. To treat the legs and ankles you require injections. Spider veins on the legs need to be correctly assessed before treatment so it is good to go to a reputable clinic. regards Jo
