I can’t believe after all these years and all my doctors telling me there was nothing to do and to try a stronger deodorant I’m not alone and I can fix this! I sweat, literally, about 5 times more than anyone I have ever met. It means I have to wear fabrics that won’t show my sweat marks and constantly have matted hair. Wearing makeup can be very messy and moisturiser just runs off my face. I get out of the shower and need to sit in front of the fan for 20 minutes to stop sweating enough to get dressed. My main problem areas are my underarms, back, stomach and face but even my arms and legs sweat. Could you please tell me that there is someone in Melbourne who specialises in Hyperhidrosis? I’d travel around the world for a permanent fix to this but if it involves regular injections I will obviously need someone in my home town. I’m really looking forward to a responce. I’ll be able to go dancing, finally!

Hi Natasha, yes it is usually an absolute relief to find out that you have a condition that can in part be treated, though there is not one panacea treatement, there is alot that can be done. There is a very good specialist in Melbourne, who is recognised internationally who practices in Melbourne. Dr Greg Goodman. He specialises in hyperhidrosis treatment. You will need a referral to see him, but if you get onto his website, by clicking on his name, I have made a link, you will be able to suss it out more yourself.

How do I find out what the injections for excessive underarm sweating are? I have had put up with severe underarm sweating since I was 17, and even went to my Doctor who like Natasha above told me to use stronger underarm antiperspirants it has not helped, my underarms are dripping minutes after a shower. Can you please help me.

Hi Carmel, I will email you to provide information with the name of the injections we use to treat excessive underarm sweating. It is best to come in for a consultation and then we can assess you to make sure there is not an underlying cause for the excessive sweating. However from what you describe, starting at 17 we may well be able to help you cure the excessive sweat problem with simple injections.

Hi just like carmel above i am wondering what the injection is called for excessive underarm sweating. Im 24 and have had it for at least 5 years now and am over sweat running down my arms seconds after i have a shower 2 go out.
